I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.


I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The fisher-of-man.com concept began with Dave Wienk who was in search of website that offers a Christian perspective for outdoor vacations. Dave couldn't find that and decided to start this website. I happened to have somewhat of a similar vision and began doing research on the internet to see if anyone had started a Christian travel site. I couldn't find anything really on the web that satisfied what I was searching for. Yes, there are lots of website that have tours to the Holy land, but nothing exists to give Christians an option on who to use for their vacation adventures.

I came across this website. Dave had wanted someone to take over the site as it was becoming labor intensive. By the grace of God, I am that person. My vision includes a much expanded site that caters to not only those interested in outdoor recreation but other forms of travel. What if you could know which hotels don't have pornography before you go to a destination? Wouldn't it be great to support Christians and others who have the same value as you no matter what the trip? What if you could know what destinations are actively catering to the homosexual market? We can live in a world of apathy or start to speak up for truth, values, and decency and make travel decisions that glorify God.

I do have the domain name fisherofmen.com for those of you who wonder about the domain name now. I am not sure if we will change to that name or some other name in the future but rest assured you will always be able to get to the site through fisher-of-man.com.
